The Empress Circle: REST
Join us on 11/24 at 6pm for a special moment of rest in preparation for what is for some a heavy holiday season. The evening before Thanksgiving, which is riddled with anxiety for some and mixed feelings around its origin for others, let us come together to rest and reclaim this time in a moment of restorative practice.
Yoga Nidra is the practice of yogic sleep, often used to rewrire limiting beliefs, and always used to allow the body to rest and renew. A 30 minute Yoga Nidra practice can be the equivalent of 4 hours of deep sleep. We will utilize this practice to help us cut through the restrictive words we use towards ourselves, and make space for more living with intention. This circle will include a 30-45 minute guided meditation practice, a 15-30 minute discussion on the astrological weather of September, ans a 15 minute journaling moment to prepare for the reworking of negative patterns.
Class will be led by Michelle Rhodes, founder of Moon+Myrrh and certified trauma informed 500 hour yoga teacher.
No yoga experience or physical practice will be required or included, besides perhaps light stretching. Mats and water will be provided, but please bring blankets, bolsters, or anything you need to lay comfortably for an extended period of time.
This event is open to all. Space is extremely limited. Plan to attend the event for it’s entirely, as it can be disruptive to other guests if you arrive or leave early. The loft is located in Suite B, which is behind the entrance located between the barbershop and Bella Vita Jewelry. This entrance is locked at all times, so please plan on arriving 5-10 minutes early so that everyone can be let in at once and we may begin on time. Late arrivals after start time will not be allowed in, and will not be refunded.
Please dress comfortably for the meditation. Masks are required for entrance to the event, and social distancing will also be possible.
